When asked what it would take to build food security, our Voces de Comunidad members responded that they needed to be able to go to work.  When asked what it would take to be able to work, they responded with childcare!  In addition to enabling parents to earn more income and thus pay for food, childcare settings are also often the spaces where healthy eating behaviors are born.   

The Cuidado Infantil Workgroup is working to identify community-led solutions that would provide children aged 0-4 with safe, healthy child-care facilities that cater to language and cultural preferences, as well as family work schedules and budgets.
